Spotting turkey at Pa-Ko Plantation during March and April is no problem. Our founder, Paul Messham, was instrumental in returning wild turkey to southern Alabama. Paul’s proprietary method of raising and releasing thousands of birds without allowing them to even see a human is still in use—and producing trophy Toms—to this day.

Wild turkey love Pa-Ko’s range of timber, ravines and the varied crops we plant, such as chufa, corn, millet and green cover. Is it any wonder our gobblers can sport 9-inch beards?

Guided three-day turkey hunts typically begin before sunrise, break for a hearty noon brunch and resume around 4:00 p.m. Hunters are permitted to take up to two gobblers per three-day hunt
